Dr. Trevor Hadley
Former Director, Center for Mental Health Policy and Services Research; Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry, Perelman School of Medicine,
University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Hadley is the founder and former Director of the Center for Mental Health Policy and Services Research. A senior mental health services researcher and public policy expert, he formerly served in public sector positions as commissioner and deputy commissioner in several state mental health agencies and currently serves as a management and systems change consultant to several states and national organizations. He is responsible for conducting research projects focusing on utilization, cost, benefits and staffing of mental health programs. Collaboration with public mental health systems in managing a mental health services research program is essential and poses many logistical and organizational difficulties that require long-term maintenance of public-academic relationships. Dr. Hadley's ability to initiate, foster, and maintain such relationships between the Center and public mental health institutions and the academic community is one of the unique strengths of the Center. Internationally, his work has included consultation with mental health programs in England, Canada, Japan, Turkey and with the World Health Organization.
